1/5 Israel is the World's Infanticide State
It is well attested that Israeli soldiers from the IDF routinely and intentionally murder Palestinian children. Examples of reports follow and people should be warned they will find them disturbing beyond belief:
Surgeon Mark Perlmutter has stated that:
“I have two children that I have photographs of that were shot so perfectly in the chest, I couldn’t put my stethoscope over their heart more accurately, and directly on the side of the head, in the same child … no toddler gets shot twice by mistake by the ‘world’s best sniper.’ And they’re dead-center shots.”
American surgeons working in Gaza report as follows:
“We started seeing a series of children, preteens mostly, who’d been shot in the head. They’d go on to slowly die, only to be replaced by new victims who’d also been shot in the head, and who would also go on to slowly die. Their families told us one of two stories: the children were playing inside when they were shot by Israeli forces, or they were playing in the street when they were shot by Israeli forces.”
A photo of a 10 year old survivor taken from the above report is depicted here:
Another report of the intentional murder of children by Israeli IDF soldier contains the following:
“I worked as a trauma surgeon in Gaza from March 25 to April 8. I’ve volunteered in Ukraine and Haiti, and I grew up in Flint, Mich. I’ve seen violence and worked in conflict zones. But of the many things that stood out about working in a hospital in Gaza, one got to me: Nearly every day I was there, I saw a new young child who had been shot in the head or the chest, virtually all of whom went on to die. Thirteen in total.
At the time, I assumed this had to be the work of a particularly sadistic soldier located nearby. But after returning home, I met an emergency medicine physician who had worked in a different hospital in Gaza two months before me. “I couldn’t believe the number of kids I saw shot in the head,” I told him. To my surprise, he responded: “Yeah, me, too. Every single day.””
And in the same report, from another surgeon:
“One night in the emergency department, over the course of four hours, I saw six children between the ages of 5 and 12, all with single gunshot wounds to the skull.”
From that report, here are some images of X-rays of the aftermath of these and similar events:

This behaviour by Israeli IDF soldiers is not new. Chris Hedges reported way back in 2001 that IDF soldiers were killing Palestinian children “for sport” in the following extract:
““Come on, dogs,” the voice booms in Arabic. “Where are all the dogs of Khan Younis? Come! Come!” I stand up. I walk outside the hut. The invective continues to spew: “Son of a bitch!” “Son of a whore!” “Your mother’s cunt!”
The boys dart in small packs up the sloping dunes to the electric fence that separates the camp from the Jewish settlement. They lob rocks toward two armored jeeps parked on top of the dune and mounted with loudspeakers. Three ambulances line the road below the dunes in anticipation of what is to come.
A percussion grenade explodes. The boys, most no more than ten or eleven years old, scatter, running clumsily across the heavy sand. They descend out of sight behind a sandbank in front of me. There are no sounds of gunfire. The soldiers shoot with silencers. The bullets from the M-16 rifles tumble end over end through the children’s slight bodies. Later, in the hospital, I will see the destruction: the stomachs ripped out, the gaping holes in limbs and torsos.
Yesterday at this spot the Israelis shot eight young men, six of whom were under the age of eighteen. One was twelve. This afternoon they kill an eleven-year-old boy, Ali Murad, and seriously wound four more, three of whom are under eighteen. Children have been shot in other conflicts I have covered—death squads gunned them down in El Salvador and Guatemala, mothers with infants were lined up and massacred in Algeria, and Serb snipers put children in their sights and watched them crumple onto the pavement in Sarajevo—but I have never before watched soldiers entice children like mice into a trap and murder them for sport.”
The Israeli IDF soldiers practice of acts of infanticide described in Chris Hedge’s report above persist to this day, as in the following description of young childern murdered by Israeli IDF snipers :
“What called this grim scene to mind was Irfan Galaria’s report from his time working in hospitals in Gaza. The most horrifying detail concerns a group of children aged 5 to 8, carried into the emergency room by their parents. “All had single sniper shots to the head.” The families had been returning to their homes in Khan Younis after Israeli tanks withdrew. “But the snipers apparently stayed behind. None of these children survived.”
Such murders, particularly by Israeli snipers, are not uncommon in the occupied territories. There have been numerous individual reports, just in this war, of children, mothers and grandmothers being randomly sniped by Israeli soldiers. There are the stories of Palestinians sniped, or executed on the spot in front of their children, having waved the white flag of surrender. There is the story of dozens of Palestinians found in plastic bags near a school in northern Gaza, having been killed execution-style, blindfolded, with their legs and hands tied. There is the story of Hind Rajab, the six year old girl in Gaza City who was stuck in a car with her dead family after they were killed by Israeli fire. And who was murdered along with the Red Crescent crew who came, having coordinated safe passage with the Israeli military, after she called them begging for help.”
The story of Hind Rajab who was murdered by Israeli IDF Soldiers who fired 355 bullets into the car in which she was sheltering, terror-struck, is well known and can be searched by using her name. The murder took place in broad daylight at very close range and is inarguably intentional infanticide. One description and forensic analysis is given here.
Nor is the intentional murder by Israeli IDF snipers the only, or even the main cause of deaths amongst young children in the ongoing Israeli Genocide against the Palestinian people of Gaza. Absent healthcare together with starvation are probably the main causes of death as in this report:
“Every day I saw babies die. They had been born healthy. Their mothers were so malnourished that they could not breastfeed, and we lacked formula or clean water to feed them, so they starved.
Asma Taha, pediatric nurse practitioner”
Further cases of Israeli IDF soldier intentional infanticide include the following from 2005, Iman al-Hams was 13 though the Israeli IDF soldier believed her to be around 10 years old:
“An Israeli army officer who fired the entire magazine of his automatic rifle into a 13-year-old Palestinian girl and then said he would have done the same even if she had been three years old was acquitted on all charges by a military court yesterday.
…
Dr Mohammed al-Hams, who inspected the child’s body at Rafah hospital, counted numerous wounds. “She has at least 17 bullets in several parts of the body, all along the chest, hands, arms, legs,” he told the Guardian shortly afterwards. “The bullets were large and shot from a close distance. The most serious injuries were to her head. She had three bullets in the head. One bullet was shot from the right side of the face beside the ear. It had a big impact on the whole face.”
… Watchtower: “A girl about 10, she’s behind the embankment, scared to death.”
Finally, as if it were needed, a video from the wonderful Caitlin Johnstone’s youtube channel which echoes the report given above from the New Your Times article.
With apologies to those who found the material above to be extremely disturbing, as I do,
